About the Role:

This is an internal position that requires a strong individual with deep knowledge and demonstrated experience in the taxation of compensation and benefits. Located near a Baker Tilly office is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide tax technical support and insight to team members on employee benefits and executive compensation issues affecting projects for clients.
  • Brief team members on relevant issues, attend client meetings, and review issues with clients or their legal counsel or advisors directly.
  • Apply relevant tax authority to real-world situations and keep abreast of current developments.
  • Draft internal and external tax communications regarding new developments in compensation and benefit matters.
  • Responsible for both formal and informal employee benefit/executive compensation training in the context of the tax, audit, and consulting practices.
  • Work with other specialty groups on issues that overlap with other technical matters such as corporate taxation and partnerships.
  • Participate in tax research projects and develop recommendations for leadership.
  • Assist the National Controversy Group with technical employee benefits/executive compensation support in connection with clients undergoing tax examinations by the Internal Revenue Service.
Requirements:

We are seeking a strong individual with deep knowledge and demonstrated experience in the taxation of compensation and benefits. Located near a Baker Tilly office is required.
