We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to lead the development and management of our Master of Genetic Counseling Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the program's success and growth, while upholding the highest standards of academic excellence and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with faculty to design and deliver a high-quality curriculum, incorporating cutting-edge research and best practices in genetic counseling.
- Secure and maintain top-tier clinical sites, fostering strong relationships with healthcare partners and stakeholders.
- Oversee program operations, including budgeting, staffing, and accreditation activities.
- Recruit and mentor a diverse and talented team of faculty and staff, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in genetic counseling from an accredited university.
- Current ABGC or ABMGG certification.
- Proven experience in program leadership, with a track record of success in developing and managing academic programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- A passion for genetic counseling and a commitment to advancing the field through education and research.
