Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Agua Caliente Casinos. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our guests, team members, cash, and physical assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security and Surveillance: Maintain a constant surveillance throughout the casino, watching for irregularities or illegal gaming devices, and immediately report suspicious or unusual activities to the proper Department Supervisor, Surveillance Officer, or Security Director.
  • Cash Handling and Management: Ensure the integrity of gambling, banking count room, and cash handling procedures, and periodically check perimeter and cash cage door.
  • Guest and Employee Safety: Ensure the safety of guests and employees of the hotel and casino operation, and perform first aid, CPR, and the use of the AED as required.
  • Access Control and Monitoring: Maintain and control access to restricted areas, check ID for possible underage customers, and provide security for Cash Cage and Count Room.
  • Communication and Reporting: Work with local police, fire, or emergency medical teams as necessary, and make citizens arrests for law violations when required.
  • Lost and Found Property: Assist in locating lost property, file reports if not found, and accept found property and tags for safekeeping.
  • Customer Service: Foster and maintain positive player/house relations, accept records and notify management of guest or employee complaints, and remove individuals from the hotel and casino when directed by the General Manager or Security Management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, desirable to have experience in law enforcement, security, military, current Guard Card or 832 PC college classes.
  • Certifications and Training: Required to obtain a current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certificate, and must be able to write clear and concise reports and communicate without significant impediment or accent in English.
  • Working Conditions: Must be able to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 1⁄2 mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.
Working Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and multi-line telephone.
