EHS Supervisor

West Fraser, Inc is seeking a highly skilled EHS Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our safety and environmental team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating safety and environmental initiatives for our facility.

• Lead Safety and Environmental Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Investigate Incidents and Near Misses: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and Implement Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs to ensure that employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
• Monitor and Report Compliance: Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

• EH&S Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong background in EH&S.
• Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and experience with Title V facilities and the EPA Clean Air Act, including stormwater, wastewater, and waste management.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
• Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
