EHS Supervisor

West Fraser is seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our safety and environmental team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating safety and environmental initiatives for our facility.

• Lead Safety and Environmental Programs: Develop and implement effective safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on safety and environmental procedures and protocols.
• Investigate Incidents: Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry standards, West Fraser standards, and federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

• EH&S Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an EH&S role in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and experience with Title V facilities and the EPA Clean Air Act, including stormwater, wastewater, and waste management.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, etc.) and experience with safety tracking systems.
• Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead and communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
