EHS Supervisor

West Fraser is seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our safety and environmental team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating safety and environmental initiatives for our facility.

• Provide ongoing support to team members and leadership team in identifying workplace hazards, reporting and investigating incidents, and developing a comprehensive safety program.
• Lead facility EH&S programs and continuous improvement in environmental and safety initiatives.
• Support GM on claims management and assist facility leaders with safety investigations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry standards and West Fraser standards.
• Facilitate EH&S training for all members and measure progress toward meeting EH&S targets and safety plan objectives.
• Ensure timely reporting and recordkeeping of incidents and maintain proficiency with the safety tracking system Intelex.
• Provide triage and first aid in the event of injury to a Team Member or contractor.
• Contribute to health screening processes, health education programs, OSHA recordkeeping, and hearing conservation processes.
• Lead by example and conduct monthly reviews with regional environmental resources.

• EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Title V facilities and the EPA Clean Air Act, including stormwater, wastewater, and waste management acumen.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
• Solid understanding of facilitating a successful EH&S program.
• Ability to present and train team members.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong teams.
• Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
