Job Description

As a Sheet Metal Product Fabricator at Ducommun, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling complex sheet metal products for aerospace applications. You will work at a bench or on the shop floor, using various hand tools, tooling fixtures, and machines to complete tasks. Our ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude and is able to read and understand drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to drawings and specifications
  • Operate various hand tools, tooling fixtures, and machines such as belt sanders, saws, grinders, riveting machines, drill presses, and shears
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, indicators, and scales
  • Have basic Resistance welding skills
  • Verify conformance of finished work pieces to customer requirements
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-6 months' aerospace assembly experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • MATH Skills - decimals, percentages, fractions required; geometry and trigonometry preferred
  • Computer Skills - able to learn new screens, reports, functions, software programs, and internal ERP systems

Salary & Benefits

This position offers a salary range of $17-$20 per hour, paid hourly, with excellent benefits, including paid vacation and sick time, 401K match, Employee Stock Purchase Program, annual bonus plan, and tuition reimbursement.
