Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at IMEG Corp. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading projects as a project manager or lead engineer for the delivery of large and highly complex projects with minimal support required from senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design efforts for the analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Provide in-process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence.
  • Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
Requirements:
  • Mastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications.
  • Mastery of technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in principles of thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Strong training, mentoring, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform final quality control checks in their area of expertise.
  • Ability to sell work and develop client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to adapt to new challenges.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred but not required.
  • 10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.
