We are currently seeking a knowledgeable Paralegal with a focus on lemon law. This full-time, salaried role involves managing a substantial caseload and executing various legal procedures, including state and federal court filings. The Paralegal will collaborate closely with Attorneys to prepare cases, oversee investigative assignments, and maintain organized case files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize client file intake in both physical and digital formats, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Track deadlines and manage due dates to guarantee timely actions.
- Handle filings in both State and Federal Courts, including electronic submissions.
- Prepare, process, and serve subpoenas and discovery requests.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, ensuring proper grammar, spelling, and formatting.
- Prepare legal correspondence and court documents, adhering to local court rules.
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, court appearances, and depositions.
- Organize dates for hearings, depositions, and other litigation deadlines.
- Scan, copy, and organize legal documents as needed.
- Communicate with court clerks, opposing counsel, and clients to gather or provide necessary information.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks to enhance office productivity.
- Operate office equipment and maintain established systems and procedures.
- Assist in preparation for depositions.
- Retrieve documents from courts as required.
- Conduct fact investigations, case research, and public records searches.
- Analyze statutes, legal articles, codes, and other relevant data.
- Support other legal, administrative, and special projects as necessary.
Additional Qualifications:
- A paralegal degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days remote and two days in the office.
