Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the medical plan of care and organizational policies.

This role ensures safe and effective care for all patient populations, while supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Experience in specialties such as Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Utilize the nursing process and adhere to the medical plan of care and organizational policies
  • Ensure safe and effective care for all patient populations
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Requirements
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Must have current BLS, ALS, and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians
