Lead a Team of Exceptional Educators

Spurwink is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team of exceptional educators. As a leader in the classroom, you will have the opportunity to develop individualized learning plans and nurture relationships with students who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement CARE principles and deliver assessment tools to support student growth
  • Develop and deliver educational programming for students with emotional, behavioral, academic, and mental health needs
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Supervise educational technicians and coordinate with the clinical team
  • Track and manage IEPs, BHP, ISP, and other relevant documents

Requirements:
  • Maine State certification as a Teacher of Exceptional Students (282) or Teacher of Students with Severe Intellectual and Associated Impairments (286)
