Position Details

This role entails a commitment of 40 hours per week, which may include weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  1. Oversee inventory levels and initiate orders for replacement supplies as necessary.
  2. Handle food transactions utilizing the cash register and POS system.
  3. Execute opening and closing tasks related to food preparation and sanitation.
  4. Simultaneously prepare multiple customer orders.
  5. Ensure a tidy dining area and beverage station throughout operational hours.
  6. Cook and assemble menu items and daily specials.
  7. Welcome patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
  8. Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Qualifications

Competencies:

  1. Reliable and punctual.
  2. Strong customer service orientation with an outgoing personality.
  3. Effective communication skills with customers and team members, both in person and via phone.
  4. Basic math skills.
  5. Proficient in commercial cooking techniques with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
  6. Knowledge of food safety standards.
Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Cafe Manager.

Work Environment

The role is situated within a professional food service setting.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully fulfill the essential functions of this position, including but not limited to:

  1. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

This is a non-exempt role requiring a 40-hour work week.

No travel is anticipated for this position.

Education and Experience

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience operating commercial cooking equipment, including grills, fryers, and refrigeration units.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Valid driving record.
  4. Ability to pass a background check.
  5. Zero tolerance drug-free workplace, including pre-employment and random screenings.
