About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at Gap Inc. In this role, you will embody our company values by protecting our people, assets, and brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and mitigate safety, external theft, and fraud trends within a specific store.
  • Provide in-store response and support focusing on immediate safety concerns, habitual offenders, and high-impact external theft/fraud incidents through the use of company technology (CCTV, Incident Reporting, and AP-related resources).
  • Teach and train store leaders and brand associates in the safe practices of effectively handling safety and external theft events, and the use of the Company Case Management and Reporting systems.
  • Regularly interact with local law enforcement, diversion, and outreach programs, and provide expertise and partner with law enforcement to assist in the safe apprehension of habitual and aggressive offenders.
  • Identify, develop relationships, and influence local community networks and outreach programs.
Requirements
  • Provides a high level of visible, overt presence to prevent loss and safety issues.
  • Helps drive a low-risk culture and contributes to shortage reduction efforts by providing a visible presence on the sales floor.
  • Maintains physical security of the store and supports the elevation of the customer experience.
  • Supports in proper handling of escalated customer situations.
  • Supports the investigative process; case initiation through resolution.
  • Makes safe apprehensions per Gap Inc. AP guidelines.
  • Collects and communicates loss and safety-related intelligence to stores and Asset Protection leaders.
  • Supports with education of store safety standards as they relate to security and safety procedures (Community Outreach, External Theft P&P, Active Threat, Emergency Procedures, etc.).
  • Maintains awareness by promoting available resources to your store team (Safety training, Open Door Policy, Code of Business Conduct Hotline, Brand Protection Program, etc.).
