Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing clinical oversight and quality assurance for behavioral services provided to educational service clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with staff to implement effective behavioral support services in educational settings.
  • Conduct quality assurance visits and consult with Senior Behavioral Professionals and clients to ensure high-quality services.
  • Participate in clinical quality initiatives and training to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  • Investigate field staffing concerns and provide reeducation to ensure staff are equipped to provide high-quality services.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data and other documentation within established timeframes to inform program initiatives.
  • Attend client meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and service calls as needed with Business Development Managers and Account Managers.
  • Assist with interviews for local Board Certified Behavior Analysts and provide support to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Responsible for assisting with case assignment, management support, and direction for external behavioral staff.
  • Perform BCBA services, including IEP listed supervision, Functional Behavior Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, student/class observations, teacher consultation, and staff support, to support business growth as requested by clients/contracts.
  • Provide consultation to business development teams to inform business growth strategies.
  • Engage field staff in feedback discussions regarding job and service satisfaction to ensure high levels of engagement and retention.
  • Lead and manage behavioral staff, assess performance, and provide development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to provide high-quality services.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry regulations, including federal, state, local contract, and program requirements.
  • Maintain updated operational rhythms and Outlook calendars to achieve objectives and due dates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to ensure the success of the organization.
Requirements
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in homes or schools, preferred.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
