About the Role

Metro Dentalcare in Maplewood, MN is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, ordering as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

About Metro Dentalcare

Metro Dentalcare Maplewood, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. Join a 13-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community. Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $28-32 and a $1500 sign-on bonus for licensed dental assistants.

Schedule

Monday: 6:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

Tuesday: 6:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

Wednesday: 1:30 - 8:15 p.m.

Thursday: 1:30 - 8:15 p.m.

Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. (every other)

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

A Minnesota dental assisting license is required (or in process of obtaining).

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.

Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.

Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
