Job Summary

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to join our team at the Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations to other services as needed.
  • Manage acute and chronic pain in ambulatory, hospital, or Community Living Center settings.
  • Assist in completing quality management reviews and participate in PM&R Service and medical staff meetings.
  • Supervise, teach, and coordinate teaching activities for PM&R related programs.
Requirements
  • Board Certification in Physiatry (PM&R)
  • 5 years of experience as a physiatrist
  • DEA X Waiver (certification for prescribing Suboxone)
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
