Position Overview:
Lube Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our vehicle fleet. They are tasked with executing preventive maintenance, which includes minor repairs and adjustments to various vehicle systems and components.


Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday
Hours: 4:00 pm - 6:00 am

Key Responsibilities:


1. Conduct preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles while adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
2. Inspect, lubricate, and service vehicles according to the established maintenance schedules.
3. Perform greasing, oil changes, and lubrication of components during maintenance services.
4. Check, fill, and replace fluids and filters as necessary for all vehicles.
5. Assess vehicle support systems, including electrical, air, and brake systems.
6. Execute minor repairs and adjustments on various vehicle systems and components.
7. Collaborate with senior technicians on maintenance tasks and repairs.
8. Identify and report worn or defective components, leaks, and other issues.
9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, materials, and work areas.
10. Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as inventory counts and parts requisitions.
11. Ensure all safety equipment on vehicles is functioning properly.
12. Assist in other areas of the maintenance shop as required.
13. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage using digital tools.
14. Travel within the district for training or business needs as required.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:
1. Basic understanding of vehicle components and systems.
2. Physical capability to meet job demands, including lifting over 50 lbs and working in various positions.
3. Good mechanical skills with a foundational knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
4. Proficiency in using computers and reading repair manuals and wiring diagrams.
5. Ability to safely operate vehicles in and out of service areas.
6. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
7. Must possess personal tools necessary for job functions.
8. Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.

Working Conditions:
1. Potential exposure to high traffic areas and tight spaces.
2. Interaction with residential and commercial waste.
3. Flexibility to travel between locations as needed.
4. Availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
5. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
6. Valid driver's license is required.
7. Successful completion of pre-employment testing is mandatory.
8. Proficiency in reading and speaking English is essential.
