About the Role

Berry Global, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Corporate Plant Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support plant projects and corporate programs related to plant engineering, building systems, infrastructure, and improving plant operations.
  • Work with multiple locations and cross-functional teams to develop projects and support safe and proficient project execution.
  • Use caution and support facility systems to assure safety event-free facilities.
  • Respond to emergencies and potential emergencies following established procedures.
  • Observe, respond, and report any instance of process or product non-conformity.
  • Maintain control of key cards, prevent unauthorized entry to facilities by non-Berry employees, and proper maintenance/security of Berry equipment.
  • Successfully complete primary duties as outlined and associated training.
Authorities and Accountabilities
  • Pause activity and notify the Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices.
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, facilities, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, design, lead, and manage improvement projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines.
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 50% of time.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), 2D CAD experience preferred.
