Job SummaryA Business Systems Analyst III will work on complex projects, analyzing and documenting business requirements, documenting business workflow, developing file mapping and technical specifications, and collaborating with business partners and stakeholders to determine priority of requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and provide high-level project scope for impact and feasibility within defined time and cost constraints.
- Assist in preparing project scoping documents and determining the appropriate approach to the business analysis effort.
- Elicit customers' and stakeholders' underlying business needs and concerns through standard methods, such as interviews and process workflows.
- Facilitate and document requirements gathering sessions with business representatives and subject matter experts.
- Manage conflicts and competing demands, escalating issues to the Project Manager, direct manager, and other senior colleagues as needed.
- Formulate probing questions and shape effective solutions to difficult problems, defining and documenting business requirements clearly and with sufficient detail.
- Develop comprehensive use cases to support solution development, validating use cases with the customer.
- Collaborate with the Development Team to identify data requirements and mapping, establish practical and efficient design and testing approaches, and provide suggestions and feedback as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the business to develop the high-level testing plan based on documented requirements, creating comprehensive test plans and queries, and documenting test results.
- Validate the output against business requirements and identify defects, collaborating with the Development Team to understand the level of effort involved for each identified defect.
- Create user and training guides, conducting training and information sessions for user groups as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of business analysis, process mapping, and equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience writing technical specifications or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis in an information technology operating environment or equivalent experience.
- Excellent understanding of and experience working with data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and business applicability in healthcare management.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL and Relational technology and proficient query writing experience or equivalent experience.
- Two years of Healthcare Industry experience required.
