Position Overview:
The Counseling and Health Services department is seeking a dedicated Medical Office Associate. This role is essential in delivering patient-centered support services that facilitate the efficient functioning of our healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Check-In: Ensure a smooth check-in process for patients by verifying their enrollment status and reviewing prior medical records.
2. Record Management: Maintain up-to-date demographic and medical records within the electronic medical record system.
3. Patient Guidance: Inform new patients about clinic procedures and guidelines, and assist in escorting them to examination areas.
4. Charge Ticket Review: Verify the accuracy of charge tickets and provide information regarding policies and services.
5. Communication: Address routine inquiries from patients, families, and internal staff, while safeguarding sensitive patient information.
6. Appointment Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of medical and mental health appointments and provide necessary information to medical personnel.
7. Immunization Compliance: Oversee the collection and compliance of immunization records.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting or completion of an accredited medical secretarial or paramedical program.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with standard office practices and procedures.
- Understanding of state immunization requirements for diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in explaining policies and procedures.
