Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geo-Structural Engineer to join our Construction Design Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-profile projects across the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and clients within the Construction Design Group to ensure timely and profitable completion.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines to cross-sell and cross-perform services.
  • Mentor and oversee junior staff, providing guidance on technical skills and best practices.
  • Perform project management tasks, including budgeting, client communications, and technical submittals.
  • Conduct regular site visits, oversee exploration programs, and provide construction observations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop budgets and scopes, client billings, submittal reviews, contract reviews, and proposal development.
  • Partner with Principals and Associates to ensure effective execution of multiple projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients and project staff to solve complex challenges.
  • Develop complete and accurate submittals that require minimal edits or revisions.
  • Review deliverables from staff and mid-level employees, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Lead business-development activities, including identifying potential new clients and attending conferences.
  • Complete geotechnical/structural engineering analyses and calculations.
  • Prepare deliverables, such as memos and reports, and provide quality assurance/control support.
  • Produce typical geo-structural designs, including temporary excavation support, retaining walls, and shallow and deep foundations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering required; Master's in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience required.
  • At least two years of project management experience.
  • PE license required.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to engage in site visits and travel as required.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and exert up to 50 pounds of force on occasion.
  • Able to perform consistent work on a PC.
  • Ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as needed.
  • Conduct work in a safe manner, identifying potential safety hazards and reporting them to the designated project manager.
