Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric Hospitalists
Key ResponsibilitiesWe are in search of dedicated pediatric hospitalists to join our pediatric hospital medicine team in a community hospital environment. Our facility serves a diverse patient population from various regions.
- 318-bed capacity
- Level II Trauma designation
- Regional Burn Treatment Center
- 6-Bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
- 10-bed Pediatric Care Unit
- 26-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Approximately 1200 deliveries annually
The pediatric hospitalist's role encompasses managing medical cases on the Pediatric Unit, providing consultations for pediatric patients in the emergency department, assisting with surgical cases, and caring for newborns who do not need NICU-level intervention. Our pediatric team includes both pediatric intensivists and neonatologists, ensuring comprehensive care. Additionally, we have access to pediatric sub-specialists in neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, surgery, and anesthesia. Our hospital staff is equipped with child life specialists, pediatric nutritionists, and physical therapists, all focused on delivering family-centered care.
Our institution also hosts a family medicine residency program, allowing residents to gain experience in inpatient pediatric and newborn care. There are opportunities for faculty positions with local medical colleges, if desired. Pediatric hospitalists can engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research tailored to our unique patient demographics.

Qualifications- Board Certification in Pediatrics; Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is preferred but not mandatory
