Position Overview:

As a Clinical Research Scientist at Kao USA, Inc., you will spearhead studies aimed at enhancing consumer insights, advancing technology, developing formulations, and supporting claims validation. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to grasp the core objectives and business requirements behind study initiatives and assess the feasibility of execution.

The Clinical Research Scientist will also collaborate with various departments to devise and recommend comprehensive study designs and effectively communicate findings.

The competitive salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $80,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute clinical studies, coordinating with study personnel, preparing necessary documentation before and after studies, planning logistics, conducting measurements through bio-instrumentation, and performing data analysis and interpretation.
  • Deepen your understanding of the broader implications in study design, such as the influence of business needs, formula technology, and instrument limitations, applying both scientific and business perspectives to study design.
  • Engage in scientific projects, either internally or in collaboration with external partners, such as the Skin Care Research teams or the Fundamental Sciences team.
  • Develop or adjust testing methodologies based on bio-instrumentation or expert evaluations to enhance understanding of skin physiology.
  • Analyze bio-instrumentation data and elucidate data trends in relation to consumer feedback and opinions.
  • Gather and integrate data from diverse consumer research areas, including skin physiology, to formulate models and hypotheses that explain data trends, generate insights, and propose product or technology implications.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline that involves experimental design and implementation, such as chemistry, biology, physics, or psychology.
  • A minimum of 7 years of practical experience in the independent design, execution, and interpretation of clinical or scientific studies.
