Job Summary

The State of Wisconsin, Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is seeking highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including skid steers, front end loaders, backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks. Your duties will include trenching, grading, runway cleaning, pavement repair, snow removal, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including skid steers, front end loaders, backhoes, rollers, and dump trucks.
  • Trenching, grading, runway cleaning, pavement repair, snow removal, and construction projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work under general supervision of the Building and Grounds Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment or farm equipment.
  • Heavy Equipment Operator license or certification from a technical college or trade school.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
