- Data Modeling
- Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for various data domains.
- Ensure data models support data consistency, reliability, and accessibility.
- Data Security and Compliance
- Ensure data architecture adheres to security policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Implement data security measures and access controls.
- Interfacing with Data Governance & Data Domain Programs
- Work with key members of the Enterprise Data Management and Business Data Management teams to strengthen the data governance and data domain programs.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with IT, business units, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and align data architecture with business needs.
- Communicate data architecture strategies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including global regulators.
- Documentation
- Create and maintain documentation related to data architecture, data models, data flows, and data integration processes.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Mentoring and Training
- Provide guidance and mentoring to data architects, data engineers, and other team members.
- Conduct training sessions to educate key team members on data architecture and best practices.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in architecture leadership and/or data leadership and/or technology leadership.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise data architecture.
- Skills
- Critical thinking and analytical abilities.
- Growth mindset that will help consult a high-performing data and technical team.
- Excellent communication skills and influencing capabilities.
- Experience in presenting to senior leadership and regulators.
- Understanding of regulations that have data touchpoints, such as BCBS 239, NYDFS AML, GDPR, CCPA, etc.
- Understanding of existing and emerging data technologies, including data governance platforms, data engineering skills, ETL tools, and virtualization tools.
We offer a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $267,500 per year, depending on location and experience. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
