About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated researcher to join our faculty in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electromagnetics and a demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research in this area.

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States, with a strong reputation for excellence in research and education. Our faculty members are recognized leaders in their fields, and we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our students and faculty.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a strong research program in electromagnetics, with a focus on applied electromagnetics at frequencies up to THz. This may include research in components, antennas, devices, modeling, sensors, and remote sensing, as well as interdisciplinary applications of electromagnetics to other areas such as bio, security, compatibility, nanoelectronics, quantum, space, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and a strong track record of research achievement. They will also have a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as experience in translating their research to commercial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong research program in electromagnetics
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering
  • Translate research to commercial applications
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong track record of research achievement
  • Strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching
  • Experience in translating research to commercial applications
