About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a tenure-track assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electromagnetics and a demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research in this area.

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States, with a strong reputation for excellence in research and education. Our faculty members are recognized leaders in their fields, and our students are highly sought after by top companies and organizations.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong research program in electromagnetics, with a focus on applied electromagnetics at frequencies up to THz. They will also be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in electromagnetics and related areas, as well as mentoring students and advising research projects.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching and research, and who has a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School's efforts to promote diversity and inclusion, and to develop and implement strategies to increase the representation of underrepresented groups in the field of electromagnetics.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and conduct innovative research in electromagnetics, with a focus on applied electromagnetics at frequencies up to THz.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electromagnetics and related areas.
  • Mentor students and advise research projects.
  • Contribute to the School's efforts to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the representation of underrepresented groups in the field of electromagnetics.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong background in electromagnetics and a demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research in this area.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
