Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Communications Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing RF systems from a board to system level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop RF systems, including RF front-end modules, transceivers, and antennas, to meet specific performance and cost requirements.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Develop and execute test plans to validate RF system performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and optimize system design.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of RF systems.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced troubleshooting and debug skills to resolve complex RF system issues and optimize system performance.
  • Engineering Support: Provide technical support for prototype and production builds, including design reviews and issue resolution.
  • Test Method Development: Identify and design efficient test methods to validate RF system performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience developing and testing RF platforms and systems, including experience with MATLAB or other RF modeling and simulation tools.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with RF concepts, including channel modeling, RF propagation loss, phase matching, and tuning RF designs. Experience with HF, VHF, UHF, SHF, and EHF frequency bands, with a preference for 50 GHz and above.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire.
Nice to Have
  • Education: PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of practical experience in modeling and design with RF systems, including experience with RF test and evaluation tools such as VNA, RSA, SigGen, etc.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Relevant experience in applied research and development, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment.
  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.
