Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families, utilizing nursing interventions to assist them in achieving optimal health status.
  • Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in the quality improvement process, actively contributing to the enhancement of patient care and surgical procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including following patient care hand-off protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of a military Surgical Technologist training program.
  • Expert knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, suture, and surgical procedures in a defined specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, and use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient care needs.

This role requires occasional travel, approximately 10% of the time.
