About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to patient care will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in circulating duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Set-up sterile table assuring appropriate supplies, drugs, and equipment are available
  • Participate with RN in counting all sponges, instruments, etc., at appropriate times during the surgical procedure
  • Assure aseptic condition is maintained by the scrubbed surgical team throughout the procedure
  • Answer patient phone calls, gather information, and relay information to provider
  • Perform post-op phone calls and relays information to provider
Requirements
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology Program required or Licensed Practical Nurse required
  • Certification as a surgical technologist preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required
