About the Position

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and arrange complex collections of records, applying knowledge of archival theory and practice to ensure accurate and efficient organization.
  • Conduct scholarly research to process and describe archival collections, utilizing knowledge of digital curation and descriptive tools, information technologies, and integrated library systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement preservation strategies for sensitive and fragile materials, ensuring their long-term accessibility and integrity.
  • Provide expert reference services to researchers, utilizing knowledge of collections in the Library to provide accurate and informative responses.
  • Develop and maintain detailed descriptive guides for research use online, adhering to current archival descriptive standards.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in archival work, with a focus on digital collections and preservation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in digital curation and descriptive tools, information technologies, and integrated library systems.
