A highly skilled leader is sought to oversee the day-to-day operations of rehabilitation services and programs, providing efficient functioning and leadership to support operational, fiscal, and human resources activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations in the department, working as a team with other supervisors to achieve operational efficiencies and optimum patient satisfaction.
- Conduct studies and provide input related to department performance improvement and productivity standards.
- Facilitate implementation of care management strategies.
- Manage patient caseload in assigned areas and organize staff schedules and coverage needs to meet volume and productivity standards.
- Develop and maintain site-based department policies and procedures.
- Identify, plan, and organize information systems and process improvements in the department.
- Ensure that staff are oriented, trained, and current with clinical and other competencies.
- Collaborate effectively with system leadership, physicians, and/or committees/work teams in developing, promoting, and enhancing new programs and services.
- Work in conjunction with site-based and market teams to meet all local, state, and federal compliance standards, guidelines, and practices.
- Provide input into operating, staff, and capital budgeting process and is accountable for operating within the budget.
- Ensure that all productivity, labor efficiency, and contribution margins are met.
- Perform human resources responsibilities for staff, including coaching on performance, completing performance reviews, and overall staff morale.
- Recommend hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations.
- Physical Therapist License issued by the state in which you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in rehabilitation, with experience as a lead or senior level staff
- Excellent diplomacy, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) or similar products
