Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process emergency calls, including 9-1-1 calls, and dispatch police, fire, and EMS personnel as needed.
  • Provide critical information to the public and emergency responders, including location information, situation updates, and other relevant details.
  • Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems to track and manage emergency responses.
  • Monitor radio traffic and communicate with emergency responders in the field.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of emergency responses, including incident reports and dispatch logs.
  • Collaborate with other emergency services personnel to ensure effective and efficient response to emergencies.
  • Provide customer service to the public, including answering questions and providing information about emergency services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a polygraph examination.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in emergency services or a related field.
  • Knowledge of CAD systems and emergency communications protocols.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute or faster.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
