Job Title: Pratt Recycling Driver

The Pratt Recycling Driver is responsible for driving a commercial front-end load truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal for commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complete pre-trip inspections, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls.
  • Drive heavy diesel trucks to and from customer locations and disposal areas.
  • Move waste bins to positions accessible by trucks and close all enclosure gates as necessary.
  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse, operate compactors, and dispose of collected materials at designated facilities.
  • Clean waste from packer blades and truck bodies on each landfill or transfer station run.
  • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
  • Clean up areas around accidental waste spills.
  • Read route sheets to determine daily schedules and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or assigned by dispatchers or supervisors.
  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs), and other forms.
  • Perform all driver check-in procedures upon returning to the facility at the end of the day.
  • Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all company safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience driving an FEL truck.
  • A valid Class B CDL without airbrake restrictions from the state declared as the point of permanent domicile.
  • Verifiable experience operating a CMV - 12 months or 150,000 miles.
  • Read, write, speak, and clearly understand the English language.
