Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison with owners, architects, and engineers for day-to-day construction activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing overall project work schedules, identifying critical paths and expediting scheduled materials and equipment.
- Reviewing and resolving subcontractor schedule impacts and claims of productivity.
- Managing work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
- Documenting project field issues and preparing RFIs to clarify questions on building plans and details.
- Overseeing work among all trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
- Ensuring necessary permits and insurance are in place and kept current.
- Assisting in maintaining the budget and ensuring work is installed in compliance with approved contract documents.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 5+ years of building construction experience.
- Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Understanding of construction means, methods, and materials, as well as line and grade and survey methods.
- Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
- Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Completed OSHA 30 hour training course.
- Ability to develop employees by providing stretch assignments with the right blend of support.
