Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development and Grants Specialist to join our team in South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our business development and grants management efforts, ensuring the effective implementation of our programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
  • Manage grants from inception to close-out, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and HI's policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to promote HI's work and secure funding.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists, MEAL team, logistics, and finance to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international development, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, grants management, and external engagement in humanitarian settings.
  • Proven track record of securing funding from major donors and developing successful proposals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
