Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensivist APP

Job SummaryThe CVICU APP will work collaboratively with the supervising intensivist to coordinate patient care needs for high-risk cardiovascular patients at Children's Minnesota. The APP will provide safe, accessible, and responsive service to our patient population, utilizing expertise and evaluative tools to address the overall medical management of the child.
The APP will work as part of the CV model of care, a team concept including CV surgeons, cardiologists, and intensivists. During work hours, the APP will collaborate and report to the attending CV intensivist. The cardiac nurse practitioner team will provide on-site coverage days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the supervising intensivist to coordinate patient care needs
- Provide safe, accessible, and responsive service to patients
- Utilize expertise and evaluative tools to address medical management of children
- Work as part of the CV model of care team
- Collaborate with CV surgeons, cardiologists, and intensivists
- Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant program
- Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
- Current MN RN/APRN License or MN Physician Assistant License
- Nationally Board Certified as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience; Pediatric CVICU experience preferred
