Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. As a CVICU RN, you will provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with complex cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with life-threatening cardiovascular conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage patients' hemodynamic status, critical medication management, and organ function.
- Utilize advanced technologies such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and ventricular assist devices (VAD) as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the care continuum.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Minnesota RN licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the unit.
