About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility that includes the Queens Cancer Center, the first comprehensive cancer treatment center in the borough. As a Clinical Healthcare Specialist, you will observe patients' physical condition, mental state, and social behavior, providing individualized nursing care for those who are acutely ill. You will also participate in planning and implementing daily living activities on the ward, contributing to the development of a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Observe patients' physical condition, mental state, and social behavior and report to team leaders or Nurse-incharge
  • Provide individual nursing care for patients who are acutely ill
  • Participate in planning and implementing daily living activities on the ward
  • Assist in planning and implementing therapeutic activities with groups of hospitalized psychiatric patients
Requirements
  • Six months of satisfactory experience assisting patients with daily living and therapeutic activities in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association within sixty calendar days of appointment
