Service Manager Job Description

Gpac is partnering with a well-established equipment dealership to find a skilled Service Manager to lead their growing shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall performance of the Service Department, ensuring revenue, gross margin, and profit goals are met.
  • Manage customer relationships, staff productivity, and service quality.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the service staff to achieve department goals.
  • Enforce shop safety practices and manage within OSHA guidelines.
  • Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and fire staff to ensure the Service Department is staffed with competent employees.
  • Manage the appearance, upkeep, and security of the shop and related facilities.
  • Make recommendations to the Store Manager on staffing and compensation requirements.
  • Inform the Store Manager of any issues related to Service operations.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of service management experience.
  • Experience as a service technician preferred.
  • Familiarity with large construction or agriculture experience.
  • Ability to lead and train a shop of service technicians.
  • Experience working with customers.
  • Ability to work directly with vendors and manufacturers.
