Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Assistant plays a vital role in facilitating and organizing HR processes efficiently and effectively. This position requires a high level of sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as a liaison between the Regional Human Resources Director and key management personnel.
  2. Conduct research and analysis for various administrative projects as directed.
  3. Coordinate and implement employee orientation and training programs, ensuring adherence to facility standards.
  4. Perform specialized administrative tasks requiring independent judgment and discretion.
  5. Ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments in accordance with established guidelines.
  6. Manage paperwork for new hires, terminations, and personnel changes efficiently.
  7. Conduct reference and background checks as part of the hiring process.
  8. Contribute to ongoing Performance Improvement initiatives.
  9. Engage in brainstorming sessions to enhance HR processes.
  10. Receive feedback constructively and adapt accordingly.
  11. Ensure compliance with all employee requirements, including training and certifications.
  12. Stay informed about updates to policies and procedures.
  13. Distribute payroll checks to employees in a timely manner.
  14. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will possess a high school diploma, with a college education being advantageous, particularly in a medical field. A minimum of five years of clerical experience is required, including at least four years as an Administrative Assistant in a psychiatric facility. Candidates should have direct experience with quality management functions and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are essential. Candidates must also be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Certification in CPR and completion of an approved behavioral health de-escalation program are required. The role may involve high-pressure situations and requires resilience and adaptability to various challenges.
