Job Title: Loupe Assembly Technician

Job Summary:
The Loupe Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling high-quality surgical loupes and coaxial headlights with superior magnification and resolution for healthcare clinicians. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble sub-components of surgical loupes per customer specifications using machinery, fixtures, and hand tools.
  • Set up machinery and fixtures to ensure quality products.
  • Perform quality checks via visual inspection and testing equipment to avoid rework and scrapping of product/material.
  • Complete all required documentation per quality policies and procedures.
  • Report productivity and quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Report damaged material, tooling, and/or machinery to the appropriate personnel for prompt repair or replacement.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality.
  • Read, comprehend, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Manufacturing Instructions (MIs).
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities through the Envista Business System (EBS) including Kaizens, 5S events, Standard Work workshops, Kanban, and Kamishibai.

Requirements:
  • High school or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings required.
  • High attention to detail and patience required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail required.
  • Good hand dexterity to assemble small components with magnifying lenses and microscopes required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions in English required.
  • Basic computer skills and math skills required.
  • Ability to multitask required.
  • Familiar with good documentation practices highly preferred.

Working Conditions:
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with constant use of hands and fingers to perform fine adjustments. Occasional reaching, lifting, and moving up to 5 lbs may be required.
