Loupe Assembly Technician

The Loupe Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling components of surgical loupes and coaxial headlights with superior magnification and resolution for healthcare clinicians.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble sub-components of surgical loupes per customer specifications through the utilization of machinery, fixtures, and at times hand tools.
- Set up machinery and fixtures per work instructions to ensure quality products.
- Perform quality checks via visual inspection and testing equipment to avoid rework and scrapping of product/material.
- Complete all required documentation per quality policies and procedures.
- Immediately report productivity and quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Report damaged material, tooling, and/or machinery to the appropriate personnel for prompt repair or replacement.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety and quality.
- Read, comprehend, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Manufacturing Instructions (MIs).
- Participate in continuous improvement activities through the Envista Business System (EBS) including Kaizens, 5S events, Standard Work workshops, Kanban, and Kamishibai.
- High school or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings required.
- High attention to detail and patience required.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail required.
- Good hand dexterity to assemble small components with magnifying lenses and microscopes required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions in English.
- Basic computer skills and math skills required.
- Ability to multitask required.
- Familiar with good documentation practices highly preferred.
