About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a Meat Cutter Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions, making product recommendations, and offering samples.
  • Cut meats to customer specifications using proper cutting equipment.
  • Restock shelves, maintain inventory, and ensure accurate labeling and pricing.
  • Monitor product quality, check expiration dates, and report any discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, and report any safety risks or issues to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
  • Current food handlers permit once employed.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
