Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise to ensure accurate inventory levels and optimal store presentation.
  • Interact with customers to provide excellent service and share knowledge of our products.
  • Operate and maintain department equipment, including safety cutters, balers, and high-lift equipment.
  • Count and sort incoming products to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
  • Examine stock for damaged products and place them in designated areas.
  • Break down loads and move cases of product to aisles using two or six-wheeler equipment.
  • Match order codes, UPC codes, or product descriptions to shelf tags before stocking shelves.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked and visually appealing, meeting Dierbergs Markets' high standards.
  • Reconcile invoices and requisitions with product deliveries.
  • Set up and take down displays and/or shelves according to company standards.
  • Perform cashier or courtesy clerk duties when requested.
Requirements
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Basic math skills and computer skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment using company-approved equipment.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Prompt and regular attendance based on your schedule.
  • Adherence to our dress code, appearance, and personal hygiene standards.
  • Associates in food handling departments are required to receive a Hepatitis A vaccination (MO only).
  • You may be cross-trained in other departments.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting & Carrying - Up to 50 lbs occasionally & up to 20 lbs frequently.
  • Pushing & Pulling - Up to 90 lbs of force occasionally.
  • Occasional - Sit & climb.
  • Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, trunk bend, kneel, stoop, squat, handling, side reach, overhead reach, & power grip.
  • Constant - Handling, forward reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation, & feel.
