About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping patients overcome communication disorders and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify communication disorders and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct speech therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current Louisiana Speech Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within 2 years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with pediatric and adult populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
