About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in helping patients overcome communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans for patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech and language therapy.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current Louisiana Speech Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
