Key Responsibilities
  • Process and verify student financial aid applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of student financial aid records in various internal and external systems.
  • Provide support to students and families with financial aid-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid to reconcile data between systems and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist with certifications of NC Funds on the NC State Educational Assistance (NCSEAA) website.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of financial aid policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Provide information and guidance to students and families regarding financial aid options and eligibility.
  • Assist with monitoring and determining student satisfactory academic progress.
Requirements
  • Two years of increasingly responsible administrative or staff experience in financial aid or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Associate degree required from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, 12-month position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

The employee will be expected to work a standard schedule, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.

Local travel between campuses may be required, and occasional out-of-state travel may be necessary for training and conferences.
