We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Aid Technician to join our team at CCC&TI. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of student aid processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to students and families.
Key Responsibilities- Process and verify student financial aid applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of student financial aid records in various internal and external systems.
- Provide support to students and families with financial aid-related inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid to reconcile data between systems and ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with certifications of NC Funds on the NC State Educational Assistance (NCSEAA) website.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of financial aid policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide information and guidance to students and families regarding financial aid options and eligibility.
- Assist with monitoring and determining student satisfactory academic progress.
- Two years of increasingly responsible administrative or staff experience in financial aid or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software systems.
- Associate degree required from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
This is a full-time, 12-month position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
The employee will be expected to work a standard schedule, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
Local travel between campuses may be required, and occasional out-of-state travel may be necessary for training and conferences.
