CPU Physical Design Lead for High Performance Computing

About the Role

At Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior High Performance CPU Physical Designer to join our team. As a key member of our high-performance core physical design team, you will be responsible for owning a portion of the core and delivering a placed and routed design that meets all required criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement working knowledge of principles of logic and transistor level circuit design, CAD tools, and expertise in one of many functional areas (e.g., clocks, standard cell libraries, synthesis, place and route, electrical analysis, etc.).
  • Innovate and improve the design, identifying lower power and higher performance tradeoffs.
  • Prepare schedules and scope several months in advance, including building analysis schedules for given flow steps or setting delivery of circuit macros across the project.
  • Prepare well-thought-out recommendations for technical reviews, including design tradeoffs and presenting various options.
Requirements
  • Mastery of logic, circuit design, CMOS transistor design, and CAD tools for high-performance design.
  • Academic credentials: MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
