Job SummaryMyTeam Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Clackamas, OR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner, using established protocols to determine caller needs and handle or redirect callers appropriately.
  • Screen calls to determine caller needs and handle or redirect callers accordingly.
  • Check voicemail system and answering service messages frequently and route messages to appropriate staff members.
  • Pre-register patients in Electronic Health Record (EHR) and schedule appointments in accordance with office guidelines.
  • Answer or refer billing questions and input data into EHR accurately.
  • Assist in confirming appointments and help contact and reschedule patients when providers' schedules change.
  • Open phones in accordance with clinic policy and transfer phones to answering service upon closing.
  • Remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must possess COVID vaccine and show proof of immunizations.
  • At least one year of experience in a fast-paced customer service setting, preferably in healthcare.
